- Demonstrated experience (minimum 5 years) in flood risk management for medium to large scale projects/programs.
- Good understanding of the flood risk management issues faced by local governments and respective agencies in Queensland.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical matters into language that is fit for purpose.
- Tertiary qualification in civil engineering and environmental engineering; ecology; environmental management; environmental sciences; or geography.
- Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in land use planning.
- Development of government policy.
- Multi-disciplinary stakeholder management and engagement.
- Post graduate qualification in environmental engineering, flood risk management, hydrology, water management and/or water resources.
