About the role
This role is responsible for services provided by various legal and non-legal services within the organisation to deliver optimal service delivery consistent with Legal Aid NSW's vision, values and objectives. The role is also the Solicitor on Record and Chief Audit and Risk Officer for Legal Aid NSW and is responsible for overseeing all audit functions.
About you
You are legally qualified with an unrestricted practicing certificate. You are a strategic and compassionate leader who utilises your advanced people and time management skills to lead a number of our legal and non-legal teams. Your demonstrated leadership experience in advising, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders will be the key to success in this role.
You are highly motivated and have impeccable prioritisation skills to balance the competing demands as director of the various teams in addition to being the Solicitor on Record and Chief Risk Officer and a valued member of the Executive Team at Legal Aid.

The essential requirements for this role
You must:
have demonstrated leadership experience
have Legal Qualifications
hold a Practicing Certificate (unrestricted)
be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement
hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies)
