THE POSITION

The Director of Advancement is a senior executive role that reports directly to the Principal. This position is pivotal in driving the College’s growth, community engagement, and reputation. The Director of Advancement oversees and integrates enrolments, fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, and communications functions. This role requires a strategic leader capable of working closely with the Principal and senior leaders to develop and execute strategies that align with the school’s mission and vision, ensuring long-term sustainability and success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Development and Implementation: Develop and refine comprehensive advancement strategies. Provide strategic guidance to the Principal and Council.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the advancement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  3. Marketing and Communications: Promote the College’s brand and reputation through strategic marketing and cohesive messaging across all channels.
  4. Enrolments: Oversee the enrolments process, ensuring effective strategies to attract and retain students, and provide a positive enrolment experience.
  5. Fundraising: Plan and execute successful fundraising campaigns and events, cultivating relationships with donors, and managing grant proposals.
  6. Alumni Relations: Engage past students through programs and events, maintaining accurate records, and fostering a supportive network.
  7. Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, represent the College at events, and liaise with external organisations.

A crucial aspect of the Director of Advancement role is the ability to connect meaningfully with current and potential families. Understanding and responding to their needs and aspirations is vital. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  1. Empathy and Understanding: A deep understanding of the values and expectations of the families in our community.
  2. Communication: Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with parents, students, and prospective families.

  4. Contextual Awareness: An appreciation of the unique context of SCOTS PGC College and the ability to reflect this in all engagement activities.

The successful applicant will be subject to employment screening, which will include;

  2. Verification of QCT registration or Blue Card details.
