THE ROLE
Murrumbidgee is now looking for a new Director, People and Culture to lead the development of strategic HR objectives, manage the HR services within the region, and support the ongoing transformation of the People and Culture Functions.
The role provides vital leadership, support, and ongoing direction to the Executive and Senior Managers within the district with a particular focus on workforce planning, talent management recruitment industrial relations, and learning and development. There is also a wider strategic planning function in terms of planning human resource programs, implementing reforms, and meeting the objectives of New South Wales Health.
You will be a significant team player who is a collaborative and experienced People and Culture leader. You will be adept at bringing people along with you through a transformation process. You will have a commitment to and understanding of diversity and the needs of a diverse region with an extensive rural community.

You are required to submit a one page covering letter, including a short statement in response to the two targeted questions below:
- Describe your executive management experience and proven track record of achievement in supporting the design, development, and management of a strategic framework to support a thriving People and Culture function, and a clear policy direction for the workforce, stakeholders, and ultimately the community.
- Meeting multiple KPIs and budget deliverables can be challenging. How do you plan to develop a culture for your staff that is safe, nurturing, and empowering whilst simultaneously ensuring that KPIs and budget demands are met?
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience at a senior level in the design, delivery, and management of integrated People and business transformation strategies and programs.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative provisions and regulations governing public sector employment and related issues, in particular as they relate to the Health Services sector.
