The Health Capital Division (HCD) works with the Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), the Department of Health, other government agencies and the construction sector to achieve value for money infrastructure outcomes.
HCD delivers an end-to-end capital infrastructure process. This includes all capital planning, business cases, construction and maintenance programs, whilst managing these through government processes for Queensland Health in partnership with HHSs.
The Division is client focused and tailors its support to the individual needs of our HHS partners.
The role
The Director, Project Delivery provides leadership to Senior Project Directors, Project Directors and Project Officers to drive quality infrastructure project outcomes through the delivery of complex or high-risk projects in line with Queensland Health approved project management methodologies. Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Delivery, this role will be key to enabling the delivery of projects on time and on budget, and leading quality of process across the full project lifecycle. You will provide strategic advice to senior management and across the Division's stakeholder groups, and proactively identify and respond to emerging issues or risks to either the projects or the Division.
The successful person
With a proven track record leading and managing multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver medium to large scale complex or high risk projects within a health infrastructure services delivery environment (or similar), you will be able to demonstrate high level knowledge or project and program management methodologies and successful project outcomes. You will have highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, experience as an executive leader, and the ability to engage with and build effective relationships with a broad stakeholder group. You will also have strong commercial acumen, and analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Key to success in this role will be your proven capacity to plan, manage and implement strategic solutions in managing outcomes for a portfolio of projects.
