About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Director, Strategy in the Department for Energy and Mining. The Director, Strategy is responsible for leading a team that undertakes complex and sensitive strategy, communications, engagement, government relations and industry development work. The Director, Strategy is responsible for identifying and facilitating opportunities to support sustainable benefits and outcomes and prosperity to South Australians whilst unlocking the state’s resources.

Key selection criteria:

- Demonstrated knowledge of the resource, energy and future industries sectors.
- Significant policy development, implementation, evaluation and/or reform experience.
- High level political acumen and an understanding of government priorities, processes and accountabilities, including an understanding of Cabinet and Ministerial processes.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, including demonstrated experience in driving improved workplace culture, change and innovation.
Degree or post graduate qualifications in policy, communications, law or business administration.
Remuneration:
SAES1
Fulltime role, working 37.5 hours per week
Special Conditions:
- This successful applicant will be offered a 3-year SAES contract.
