About the Role
In this role you will work with our clients who are predominantly global and domestic investment managers and help to share the future strategy of the trustee services team.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team that manages all aspects of a portfolio of clients to oversee and ensure that the managed investment schemes are managed in a manner that complies with the law, scheme/trust documentation, regulatory framework, OIG’s policies and procedures and applicable industry practice to ensure superior client service.
The role provides great exposure to senior professionals across the Investment Management industry including Fund Managers, Administrators, Auditors and Lawyers, as well as exposure to a broad range of responsibilities and experiences allowing you to advance your career in a friendly and vibrant team environment.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualified
- Financial background regarded
- RG 146 desirable
- Industry qualifications highly regarded
Experience
Essential
- At least 7-10 years of financial services experience
- Strong people leadership skills
- Client focused professional with well-developed interpersonal skills
- A detailed understanding of trusts and various structures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a dedicated client service team providing trustee and responsible entity services.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Develop & maintain strategic relationships with key clients and service providers.
- Oversee the management of the lifecycle of each client/fund including ad-hoc scheme amendments while ensuring operational excellence and compliance is maintained
- Working with risk and compliance to ensure compliance is managed appropriately in accordance with compliance plan controls.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with scheme documents including PDS and Constitutions and service provider agreements
- Assist with the on-boarding and integration of new business and manage the off-boarding of schemes that are winding up
- Prepare and present Board papers to the various trustee boards
- Assist with proposals and business development initiatives
- Prepare and deliver training to junior team members.
