Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for the standardization of quality service with a strong focus on quality, compliance and service excellence. In addition, this position is also responsible for mentoring and coaching teams, and ensuring key initiatives are delivered effectively across our facilities and services. This position will suit a creative, inspirational leader who is passionate about working with clients with disability and partner with clients to develop and manage care teams that foster the greatest sense of choice, control and confidence under the NDIS.
The position will be responsible to manage our SDA homes in the Western suburbs (Wyndham Vale, Melton South) that are growing in numbers.
The role has responsibility, however not limited to the following key areas:
Lead a team of Disability Support Workers to provide great service
Develop and maintain positive, respectful and supportive relationships with our clients and the important people in their lives
Work side-by-side with our clients to foster and promote positive outcomes
Collaborate with rostering officer to maintain client team rosters, recruit team members and guide them through induction
Provide ongoing support, mentoring and client-specific training for staff
Maintain client records and monitor funded support budgets, as required
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our policies and procedure
Maintain NDIS compliance withing the SDA homes and manage incidents reports
What we are looking for?
Sound leadership and management skills. Experience in managing a team professionally and positively, and leading successful change
A passion for client focused care and a collaborative approach
Active listening skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and care teams
Tech savvy and comfort with using and/or learning our CRM systems
Well-developed communication skills – both in report/note/email writing and the ability to engage professionally with staff, clients and their families
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Community Services/Case Management (or equivalent)
Full Victorian driver’s licence
Flexible to travel around the western suburbs and managing a growing team
Flexible working hours including on-call rosters
Mandatory requirement -
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 – 12 months
First Aid Certificate and CPR
Evidence of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
Working with Children’s Check
