The role
Challenge Community Services is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Operations Manger to join our Accommodation team based in Dubbo NSW.
The Operations Manager - Accommodation is responsible for leading and managing the effective and efficient operation of a portfolio of accommodation services with clients receiving or eligible to receive NDIS SIL funding or similar funding.
The role also focusses on creating and maintaining a highly performing team culture, is sensitive to, and promotes, cultural diversity and acceptance; while ensuring the services adheres to the principles and objectives of the Disability Service Standards (DSS) and another appropriate legislative requirements.

Essential Selection Criteria
Certificate IV Disability, Community Services or related field
Current First Aid Certificate
In-depth knowledge of the disability sector including NDIS funding, SIL submissions and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
Demonstrated ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised with excellent time management skills
Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to work individually and lead a culturally diverse team
Well developed Systems Management Skills, such as managing data bases and Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook
3 years demonstrated experience in Disability or related field
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a safe work environment
Valid Working with Children's Check, NDIS Workers Screener check and National Police Check
Unencumbered Australian Driver's Licence and Australian Working Rights
Qualification and/or relevant experience in leadership
Interpret and implement the NDIS efficient price model of service delivery
Proven experience to effectively implement person-centred approaches in service delivery
Demonstrated experience managing a budget.
Desirable Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Health or other relevant professional field
Experience in supporting, planning and set up of new services or project managing complex change processes
Experience in providing operational support and practice supervision to team leaders
Covid 19 vaccination or the willingness to obtain before commencement
Pre Employment Assessment with drug screen
