Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia. About the Role
We are looking for people who are dedicated, values oriented, and people focused to support our disability clients in the Central Coast region. In this opportunity we have three programs to choose from; our Lifestyle Support Services (LSS) which is focused on drop-in support, our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program which includes 24/7 support in a group home environment and our Short-Term Accommodation Assistance (STAA) which provides temporary support to children and adults who usually reside with their family or primary carer. Each of our teams are focused on supporting our clients with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.
Please note that these positions will require you to be flexible and available at short notice to work Monday to Sunday; this includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and active nights shifts. Shifts will vary from three to ten hours in line with client support needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
- Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
Skills & Experience
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence
- Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
