Seeking support workers to work with our NDIS participants, our clients.
Support workers must have a current ABN. Workers who prove reliable and hardworking can be offered a full-time or part-time contract.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- An understanding of the disability sector and person-centred support
- Excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach
- Flexible availability & a long-term commitment
- Driver’s licence and reliable car
- Experience (not essential, training provided
About the Job:
Provide one on one, in-home support to people with disability living in Castle Hill, Kellyville and surrounding suburbs including West Pennant Hills.
Successful candidates will have availability for short shifts (up to 2 hours) across weekdays with availability for early morning, late afternoon, and evening shifts. You will be required to travel to different locations in Castle Hill and surrounding suburbs to provide in-home support to individual people. Must be willing to provide both short and long shift. Our ideal candidates are local and able to provide services on a short notice.
The role may involve:
- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance)
- Manual handling and the use of wheelchairs & hoists
- Transportation and social engagement
- Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Behavioural and Mental Health Support
- Completing progress notes and behaviours of concern reports
Essential criteria:
- The legal right to work in Australia
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Two professional references
- Current ABN
- PL & PI insurance
- Pet friendly
Pays between $38-65ph.
