2. Purpose
To support and care for various clients with different intellectual and physical and Mental
disabilities by addressing their individual needs and focusing on providing quality care for every
client in your care.
3. Key Responsibilities
Client Support
- Carry out assigned duties and tasks as per what the client needs, and other reasonable
- To provide direct care for individual clients, including but not limited to:
- Showering/bathing
- Dressing/grooming
- Toileting
- Preparing meals
- Assisting individual clients to eat their meals
- Assist with client’s physical and mobility requirements
- Providing clients with any additional support as required
- Providing clients as required/under instruction from the Care Co-ordinator with the
- Personal administration
- Shopping for and with clients
- Banking and paying bills (where applicable)
- Supervision of client’s medication requirements
- Washing and ironing of personal clothes
- Ensuring that bathing areas and clients appliances are kept in a clean condition
- Performing household duties and ensuring the house is clean and tidy
- Tidying of clients rooms
- Identifying the need for, and supporting client to attend, medical/therapist
- Behavioural support
- Transport as required
- Dependent on individual needs, abilities and preferences, support clients to establish and
services.
- Encourage positive and socially appropriate behaviour, and effectively manage
- Respond to crisis within specified guidelines. (refer to crisis management sheet)
- To be aware of safe working conditions and implement safe working practices.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and guidelines.
- General duties as directed by the manager/employer.
- Actively support and care for the client under your supervision in the hours you are
- Work within the guidelines of the Care Co-Ordinator
- Understand and abide by policies and procedures associated with The Cassidy Crew.
- Report to The Cassidy Crew at the end of every shift.
This role has responsibility for developing/maintaining relationships with the following:
- Clients
- Employer
- Colleagues
- Cassidy Crew staff
- Works with people- can work with a variety of client types with different needs and
- Follows instructions, policies and procedures- has read The Cassidy Crew Policies and
- Copes under pressure- Some clients may raise some difficulties and being able to calmly

- Clear NDIS worker screening check
- Copy of current driver’s license
- First aid Certificate
- NDIS worker’s orientation module
