About the role
We are looking for team members for our supported independent living arrangements in Toowoomba to provide 24/7 support in the home and out in the community. The role includes sleepover/active night shifts on a 24/7 roster.
The support worker role and responsibilities will include
- Supporting people with day-to-day activities in the home and out in the community
- Providing positive behavior support to our clients by implementing PBS strategies
- Completing appropriate documentation and reporting such as shift notes, incident reporting and data collection
- Contribute to the team’s overall objective in providing the best outcomes for our clients
- Work with your Team leader to implement and review plans around daily service provision
- Above all, be responsive, reliable and accountable to our clients and your team
Qualification/Experience:
- Experienced working with people living with complex mental health
- Skilled in working with people who have experienced trauma (highly desirable)
- Minimum 2 years experience in the disability/mental health sector that support clients with complex needs
- Tertiary qualifications in Mental health, Disability, Community services sector or similar fields preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Salary: $29.00 – $37.00 per hour
