Suitable applicants will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Experience with Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Care (Highly Regarded, however not essential)
- Mental health care experience (Highly Regarded)
- Strong English competency
- Strong work ethic and time management
- Ability to work across a 24/7 roster including weekends, overnight and public holidays
- Reliable form of transportation (with registration and insurance and Current WA Drivers License)
Ideal candidates will be professional, ethical and reliable with the ability able to build a strong therapeutic relationship and rapport with our clients. Ideal candidates will also be required to assist our clients with a wide range of disability-related supports and care needs.
The role will be Casual, with long term engagement & opportunities available for the right candidates.
Ideal Candidates are able to demonstrate:
Adhere to Person-Centered support, support plans and client safety and wellbeing.
Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as prompting, medication administration, household assistance and outings.
Stringent high level note-taking and record-keeping.
Professional integrity and regard for professional boundaries, confidentiality and dignity whilst working with our clients.
Building and maintaining positive, long term relationships with the clients and their support network.
The Ideal Candidate may also possess:
Experience supporting people with complex cognitive disabilities and mental health needs (Highly Regarded).
Mental Health First Aid (Highly Regarded)
A minimum of certificate III in Disability / Community Services or relevant industry or lived experience is highly regarded but not essential
Current First Aid Certificate (Including CPR) & Manual Handling
Willingness to Learn & Undertake Onboarding Learning & further your skills
Current police clearance, NDIS Screening & WWCC or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
