About the role:
We have an exciting and rewarded support opportunity to share with you. Located in Hillside, you will be part of a care team to support a 22-month-old female client living with a rare genetic skin condition. You will provide assistance with her bath-time routine and complex daily dressings. All training will be provided by the Royal Children's Hospital and our client's family, to guide you through the routine and ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills to provide quality care for our client.
The shifts will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 3 hours in the afternoon (e.g. 1:00pm - 4:00pm or 2:00pm - 5:00pm).
Your key responsibilities:
Our team is looking for passionate and friendly Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:
- Complex daily dressings
- Preparation of equipment and dressings
- Personal care and bath routines
About you:
To join our team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Certificate IV in Disability or related field (essential)
- Personal care experience
- Wound care and dressing experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Valid Victorian driver's licence
We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
