We are seeking a Mental Health / Disability Support Workers who are compassionate about delivering high-quality person-centered care to their clients. For the Redcliffe position there is a preference for experienced workers, with previous exposure providing high-quality person-centered care to their clients and understanding how to navigate and manage restrictive practices.

Positive Futures Queensland is a clinically led practice that offers a range of different services to all our clients who are situated between Redcliffe and Labrador, and we are seeking supports workers which can service one of or more of the following areas: Southeast Brisbane, Labrador and Wide Bay. We are excited to welcome friendly and passionate people onto our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have four wonderful people we are seeking support workers for:
1st is a young man looking for friendly supports to help him access the community, explore fun and exciting activities at home and assist him with everyday living skills. This young man is located Narangba, shifts will consist primarily of day supports.
2nd is an individual needing support to access the community and assistance supporting their mental health. They are seeking team, who are passionate, energetic and have experience or awareness of the psychosocial disabilities. Shifts currently consist of day supports and are located in Caboolture.
3rd is a middle-aged woman who is seeking day supports throughout the week to assist with community access and activities of daily living. They are seeking a female only team, who are active and have an understanding of social anxieties. They reside in Narangba.
Lastly, we are recruiting for one male client who is complex in nature, he is seeking a stable and friendly team of supports to help him maintain his everyday care at home and occasional community access. This person enjoys watching the footy, walking in tranquil environments and spending time with his family. You can help this person with finding exciting activities at home and assist him with everyday living skills all whilst assisting him in managing his cognitive functions and social behaviours. This gentleman requires assistance with personal care, assistance with cooking and general wellbeing. This person is located around the Redcliffe area with a variety of shifts being available including day supports, evening, overnight and weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work collaboratively within a team.
Assist clients in Community Access environments to develop independent living skills
Assist clients to develop and / or expand their social relationships & networks
Follow and participate in person centred support planning
Work with a compassion and creativity to increase a person's quality of life
Complete detailed shift notes and reports.
Provide direct support to people with a disability with all activities of daily living which may include domestic duties, personal care, social support, medication assistance, manual handling, transport, meals and attending appointments.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all key stakeholders; clients, families, guardians, and involved services.
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS:
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or valid exemption
Current First Aid & CPR training
Fully Vaccinated
Have a vehicle to enable travel to and from participants and stakeholders (travel is reimbursed).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Administration of medication training (or willing to obtain)
Manual handling training (or willing to obtain)

Reporting and recording relevant documentation for NDIS standard
Knowledge of and awareness of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Flexibility to work within a service that provides 24/7 care, this includes weekend work, sleepover and /or active night shifts within a fortnightly roster.
Solid experience working with people living with neurodiverse and psychosocial disabilities.
