Your role:
Drake Medox is seeking fun, enthusiastic and dedicated Support Workers within the Narre Warren area.
Our male client, living at home with a Spinal Cord Injury, is seeking Support Workers to join his flexible team on an on-going basis. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our client's life, as well as enhance your skills and knowledge with ongoing client specific training.
You will need to have excellent communication and engagement skills. The right candidates will be flexible and available to work on a rotating roster throughout the week.
Your Duties:
- Assist the client with personal care and manual handling 1:1
- Full supervision of the client and addressing their needs
- Champion and support the client in the home and out in the community
- Ability to accompany client to travel (Australia and overseas)
- Personal care for high needs clients (showering, continence care and hygiene)
What you will need (or be willing to obtain):
- Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Disability or other relevant qualification
- Valid Australian Driver's licence
- Proof of your right to work in Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Worker Screener Check
- Nationally accredited Medication Administration certificate
- Nationally accredited Manual Handling certificate
