The role:
We have three individual participants seeking MALE ONLY Support workers to join teams in the North Brisbane region. These gentlemen are seeking support across varying shifts in home and community. The supports are all provisioned independently in some situations 2:1 is required. The gentlemen require competent Support Workers with a knowledge of complex behaviours, wound management, personal care, Restrictive Practice, and non-verbal communication.
The role requires a willingness to learn and to build your skill set in complex support. The support shifts are individual to participant and can range from days, afternoons, and nights.
Essential Requirements:
- Positive yellow card/NDIS workers screening
- Open Driver’s License
- Certificate of COVID-19
- Certification of First Aid and current CPR
- Prior experience in working with individuals with complex care.
- Physically health for active shifts
- Accurate record keeping and data input skills
- Working cohesively with positive team perspective
- Commitment to continuity of care
- Completion of NDIS workers orientation training
- Willingness to complete organisational induction training and NDIS worker orientation training
- MAYBO training and previous experience with non-verbal communication an advantage.
