The Opportunity:
We have a permanent part-time pharmacy technician position available to join our dynamic and tight-knit Slade Pharmacy team based at the Forster Private Hospital. Work 25 hours/week Monday – Friday 8am – 1pm. This is a great opportunity for parents with school aged children, or anybody looking for a great work/life balance.
This is an exciting opportunity to further enhance your career in an ever-evolving multidisciplinary team environment and work with private patients at a highly regarded hospital that provides a range of services, including rehabilitation, surgery and oncology. You will assist in delivering a high-level pharmacy service while ensuring prescriptions are dispensed and reconciled accurately and efficiently.
Perhaps you are a pharmacy assistant looking to progress your career into a dispensing role. We are willing to train the successful candidate in the dispensing process!

Key responsibilities:
Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
Process sales transactions and assist with account enquiries
Deliver medication to allocated wards and retrieve new medication orders
Manage scripts and duplicates
Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication
Process PBS claims
Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
Assist with retail enquiries and stock control

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Dispensary Technician who can prioritise their workload and adapt to change. You will also possess a positive attuite and strong customer service skills.
You’ll:
Have knowledge of the PBS and S2/3 products
Have a high attention to detail
Be adaptable, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workload
Be a strong communicator and be able to work autonomously and within diverse team structures
Have a compassionate and team-oriented attitude
Be highly driven to achieve the best possible care through your high attention to detail

Have time management, communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
Certificate in pharmacy (community or hospital) or equivalent
