About HealthShare Victoria
HSV was established on 1 January 2021 as a commercially oriented independent provider of supply chain, procurement and corporate shared services to Victoria’s public health sector. HSV’s purpose is to partner with Victoria’s public health services and suppliers to support better value for the public health sector and better outcomes for their patients.
Our focus is on the end-to-end supply chain needs of health services, including operating the State Supply Chain, to ensure Victoria’s public health services have access to goods that may be in higher demand or difficult to access. Under the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic), we administer compliance-related functions, and work with health services to assist them in meeting compliance and probity obligations.
The Opportunity
HSV is growing - we're opening a second Distribution Centre in Victoria so we can deliver more of the right product to the right place at the right time.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the key objective of this role is to lead a functional area within the Distribution Centre (DC) (inbound, pick and replenishment, outbound, inventory) to contribute to the effective overall running of the DC operation daily, focusing on employee capability and development, task execution and budget management at shift level. The role will have up to 15-20 team members within any functional team.
Multiple positions available - anticipated start dates July & August 2024
Key Accountabilities Include, but not limited to:
- Work with DC Leadership team to maintain a safe workplace
- Manage functional teams operating on a specific shift in the HSV DC, working closely with the Senior Operations Manager
- Ensure the appropriate resources are assigned to operational tasks daily, working to mitigate labour shortfall by managing leave (planned and unplanned) against planned workload
- Capable of executing all operational tasks within the designated functional area of responsibility
- Accountable for base KPI reporting within designated functional area on a daily/weekly basis, as directed
- Accountable for Labour agency liaison, providing feedback and managing agency labour to suit planned operational requirements
- Support the Senior Operations Manager to identify areas of competence and skills gaps with regards to operational job functions
What You Will Bring:
- Successful completion of secondary education (desirable)
- Diploma of Logistics or Business, or Tertiary Qualification in related field (desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of DC Operations (including route transport) in a high-volume environment (Retail, FMCG, 3PL operations etc.)
- Demonstrated experience managing operational team of up to 20 team members
- Experience using a distribution operating system and the ability to manage labour requirements hourly, daily and weekly
- Collaborative, resilient and capable of engaging and influencing teams through periods of change
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple concurrent tasks, meet tight deadlines and to work in an independent, flexible manner where required
