The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Divisional Director, Education to join the team at Northern Health.
This role will lead the newly created Northern Health (NH) Education and Training Division comprising of Allied Health, Medicine, Nursing Education, the Northern Centre for Health Education and Research (NCHER), Simulation and the Learning Management System (LMS) team. The Directors Education of Allied Health, Medicine, Nursing and Learning Management System report operationally to this Divisional Director and professionally to their respective professional lines. The Divisional Director, Education role reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Post Graduate Qualifications (Masters in Management, Masters in Education or equivalent)
- A tertiary qualification in the clinical field of adult education with a demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of adult education principles and contemporary issues in education and health care
- Strong understanding of Learning Management System/ Platform
- Education experience in the development and establishment of sustainable and successful education programs for medical, nursing and allied staff
- An understanding of education frameworks, including Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment (BPCLE)
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality care through the provision of high-quality education opportunities for staff and health information services for patients and their families/carers
- Administrative experience in the development and establishment of sustainable and successful education services is desirable
