About the Opportunity:
An exceptional opportunity for a Area Manager to lead a network of Brokers based throughout Southern NSW. You will join an established, collaborative and successful team, and benefit from plenty of support from the wider business.
The role will involve all aspects of managing a team that's spread across a wide geographical area and numerous offices, whilst also directly servicing some of the larger / key client accounts for the division.
As part of the wider leadership team, you’ll help drive growth for the division in line with the region and company strategy. Responsibilities will include:
Manage some of the larger / key client accounts for the division
Assist Brokers in the Division with quoting and managing larger or more technical leads / accounts where they are less experienced
Provide technical insurance advice to the team in the division
Provide sales, networking & market advice to the team in the division
Facilitate monthly sales meetings with the team which will include monitoring whether each person is on track to meet their financial goals
Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders and participate in monthly management meetings for the region
Proactively develop effective multi-level and multi-activity relationships
Provide market intelligence on industry trends, marketing trends, competitor activities and strategies
Drive the business strategy both national and regional to achieve growth targets
About You:
Significant insurance broking experience
Demonstrated success in a leadership role
Solid understanding of all aspects of insurance and strategic client engagement
Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
High level of professionalism in communications will all levels of the business - establish clear objectives and motivate staff and other stakeholders to achieve a common goal
Tier 1 broking & Cert IV insurance through a reputable industry body e.g. ANZIIF or NIBA
Numerical skills and an ability to analyse statistics/data to identify factors and trends that adversely impact the company’s operations. Translate results into meaningful actions that can adopted by Business Units
