Pups4Fun have a unique opportunity for a motivated person to join our team to take on a traineeship in Dog Grooming. This is a great way to enter the grooming industry and get paid while gaining hands on experience and a Cert III in Animal Care Services specialising in Pet Grooming.
The scholarship will run for 24mths, with the opportunity to sign on for employment if you have successfully completed the training program and qualification. The applicant will be paid at award level rates or above while completing on the job training, and working towards this qualification paid for by Pups4Fun.
The program includes working and training in areas including:
- Cert III Animal Care Services
- Animal handling and welfare
- Pet Grooming
- Dog body language and training
- Administration/retail skills
- Facility maintenance and cleaning
- Customer service
- Social media and video editing

The Dog Grooming industry is not easy to get into as you will often need experience to get a job, but most grooming courses also require you to work in the industry. It is a great skill that you can take with you and work all over Australia.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for dynamic motivated people who want to start their career in Dog Grooming.
- Dog grooming is hard physical work. You must be physically fit and able to work up to 10hr shifts in a physically and mentally demanding role.
- No experience is necessary. However, experience in handling or living with dogs will be an advantage.
- You must be available to work rostered shifts between 0700 to 1800hrs Monday to Friday, 72hr fortnight. Some weekend work may be required.
- Applicants will complete a 6mth in house probationary training period, and if completed move on to complete the qualifications.
- You must be motivated to learn, and be keen to undertake your own personal development.
- You must commit to an 24mth scholarship to take full effect of the qualifications.
