AddressGrange Resources Limited is Australia’s most experienced magnetite producer from its iron ore mining and pellet production business located in North-West Tasmania.
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to the pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
We are currently seeking a reliable and highly motivated Drill Operator / Relief Pit Operator to join our team at Savage River.
In this role, you will:
- Safely and productively operate and maintain DK45, & D65 Smartroc drill rigs.
- Ensure drilling quality targets, including depth, inclination, hole size and hole preservation are achieved
- Work on a 4 on / 4 off rotating 12.5hr day/night continuous shift roster
- Be trained in the safe & efficient operation of the CAT haul fleet on site so that you are able to fulfil relief truck operating duties when drilling is not required.
The successful candidate should have:
- Recent blast hole drilling experience
- The ability and commitment to work safely in an isolated environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- A current full manual drivers’ licence (essential)
