About our opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Duty Manager to join our fun and energetic team at the Morayfield Sport & Events Centre (MSEC)!
MSEC is a dynamic and busy multi-purpose venue, comprising of five indoor timber sprung courts, a large indoor event space, meeting rooms and an onsite cafe that can be hired to facilitate and cater events and activities for over 3000 people, 7 days a week. Successful applicants may be required to work nights and weekends on a rotating roster.
As the Duty Manager and a senior member of MSEC, you will provide leadership, direction and support to the MSEC service staff to deliver positive service experiences and foster a positive working environment. You will oversee and assist with routine hospitality and catering services including the preparation and service of food and beverage, in compliance with food and liquor license obligations. You will be a part of the events team and ensure all activities during events run smoothly. This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to lead by example.
About you
We’re looking for a team player that loves to partner and contribute to a positive work environment! You will be confident in leading and supervising a team and be collaborative and pragmatic in your approach to providing quality customer service.
You will have a demonstrated capability in self-motivation, initiative and the ability to exercise independent judgement.
To be successful in this role you must possess a current Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) certificate. Applicants must be willing to obtain an Apply First Aid Certification and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification as well as a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card.
