Since 1907, the organisation has grown and developed its social purpose agenda and now educates children in 360 centres which is comprised of both Childcare Centres and Kindergartens.

About the Role:

C&K is currently seeking an Early Childhood Education Manager to join the Children's Services team to support kindergartens within our Metro & North Coast Region. As the Early Childhood Education Manager in this Region, you will support a variety of C&K Branch Community Kindergartens within Cairns.

This position is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing C&K's operations in the region to enable the delivery of high-quality early childhood services and programs in line with C&K's vision, values, and priorities.

Every kindergarten is supported by hands-on and dedicated management and advisory team, that shares your passion for delivering high-quality education and care.

• Permanent Full Time - 38 hours per week
• Preferably based in Cairns
• Applicants must be prepared to travel across the C&K centres located in Cairns region

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and support service delivery, including implementation of new services, to promote integrated approaches and to achieve quality outcomes, and regional objectives aligned with C&K strategy, priorities, and values
• Apply effective communication and leadership strategies to engage staff, and working collaboratively, including partnering with other services in the area to support and inspires a shared sense of purpose and to deliver outcomes for children and families
• Manage service performance to drive continuous improvement
• Support services to identify and be responsive to client/community needs. Engaging with the Regional Manager and regional management team to ensure service needs and outcomes are addressed
• Manage, support and monitor the implementation of C&K's early childhood curriculum approach 

Ideally you will have:

• ACECQA approved bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and Care
• Passionate about the first five years of children's learning
• Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and supporting early childhood education and care services/programs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Willingness to travel when required across your region
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Experience in multi-site management is desirable 
• Practical understanding of key issues, strategies, and best practices in early childhood education, child health, wellbeing and inclusion, early childhood curricula, and development frameworks
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate across team collaboration and cooperation to achieve best practice outcomes in child wellbeing and inclusion
• Skills, capability and experience in exploring options and implementing innovative strategies to support and manage service delivery and business outcomes, including analysing trends and data; developing and maintaining effective relationships/partnerships; and engaging with research and best practice.
