About the Centre/Service
Diamond Creek Memorial Kindergarten is community based and offers a supportive teaching environment as part of a dedicated team and within a contemporary philosophy. We have two campuses within Diamond Creek and one at Panton Hill. The successful applicant must be committed to an emergent style of play-based curriculum and a focus on promoting strong relationships with families and children. Confidence in recording and documenting children’s learning is essential. The successful applicant will work cohesively within a small team of three during session times and collaboratively within the entire educating team. The educational philosophy has a strong Education for Sustainability focus: a reflection of the local community and we also include bush kinder (nature learning) as part of curriculum. Description
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and dependable early childhood qualified teacher to join our inspired kindergarten team. This would also be suitable for a new graduate early childhood teacher but the applicant must be committed to working towards full VIT registration. Experience across the early childhood field would highly valued, combined with an enthusiasm towards professional learning. Commitment to Education for Sustainability, understanding of the environment as the third teacher and emergent curriculum will be sought.
