About the Centre/Service
Wahroonga Pre-School is known as St Helena’s hidden gem. It is an inclusive not-for-profit sessional kinder providing quality 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs. It is set in natural surrounds next to Anthony Beale Reserve in Greensborough. The kindergarten is full of character and life with a large outdoor area that the children love to explore. Our program is play based and utilises a combination of both indoor and outdoor based programs with a focus on supporting and extending the children's interests, confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. We are committed to providing a child safe environment and all staff must demonstrate their ongoing responsibility to ensuring child safety. Wahroonga Pre-School was last assessed in 2022 as 'Exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas'. Description
We are seeking Early Childhood Educators (Cert III and Diploma) and Teachers who are passionate about providing high quality education in a community kinder to join our casual reliever pool. On an as needs basis, you will work in our 3 and 4 year old programs. You will work cooperatively as part of a team to assist in the provision of a healthy, safe and welcoming environment for the children. You will assist with the program and daily routines including preparation of activities, to ensure a high quality early education and care program that supports the children's learning and development. Our sessions are as follows: Monday 8.30am - 1.30pm (3 YO Group) Tuesday 8.30am - 1.30pm (3 YO Group) Wednesday 8.30am - 4.00pm (4 YO Group) Thursday 8.30am - 4.00pm (4 YO Group) Friday 8.30am - 1.30pm (3 YO Group) Successful candidates will have a good understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework and the National Quality Framework, Educational and Care Services Laws and Regulations.
