The Service
Located in the heart of Pyrmont, KU Maybanke Preschool provides education and care for toddler and preschool aged children Monday to Friday between 8am - 4pm all year round.
KU Maybanke have a focus on connecting children with nature by incorporating activities such as gardening, growing vegetables and fruits (which they then cook and eat) into their program. The service also has a worm-farm which uses compost from the vegetable garden.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in January 2022 in a teacher relief capacity.
On offer is a permanent part time position working 8am - 4pm every Friday. You will have access to our casual pool on non contracted days.
The successful candidate will ideally be passionate about sustainability.
In addition, you will have:
- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- Teacher Accreditation through NESA
- Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children (CHCPRT001 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk or CHCPRT002 - Support the rights and safety of children and young people)
- A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA along with separate current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
