The Role:

The role of the Ecommerce Trading team is to deliver continued growth for our brands through website and category optimization, merchandising, product management, and third-party campaigns. We focus on optimizing how we serve customers through products, customer journeys and new technology.

The Ecommerce Trading Executive is pivotal to supporting the delivery of the RedBalloon workstream to ensure trade actions and opportunities are executed to deliver business benefit and growth across the website. This role is responsible for implementing weekly trade opportunities, delivering campaign and hallmark events on-site and optimising the customer experience through manual merchandising and dynamic tools. This role will also support with product enrichment and uploading when there this overflow within that workstream.

Core Activities:

Website + Content Management

  • Support with executing weekly trade actions and on-site optimisations
  • Update the homepage and content across the website
  • Update and maintain the top navigation for customers to shop easily
  • Brief new website assets to Creative Studio in line with campaigns + promotions
  • Liase with the Performance team on SEO updates and optimisations
  • Set up on-site messaging to help customers move through the purchase funnel
  • Review and resolve any customer service issues on-site related to trade and content
  • Support with managing Trade Calendars and website activity plans

Merchandising

  • Merchandise website pages to determine what products customers see and when
  • Manually merchandise products on pages to increase on-page conversion
  • Use reporting to determine how pages are performing and where there are opportunities
  • Set up new product and category pages where necessary to support the shopping experience
  • Maintain all product filters across the website to enable customers to shop easily

Promotions

  • Set up new promotion codes for new campaigns, offers and partnerships
  • Manage and maintain all live and expired promotions
  • Deals pricing validation and management during key Hallmarks

Analytics + Insights

  • Support with weekly reporting on trade and performance insights to optimise the website
  • Support with product and category insights on a regular basis
  • Support with Post Campaign Reviews after hallmarks and key campaigns
  • Support with any ad hoc trade or insight reporting

Experience Required:

  • Ecommerce experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of CMS systems are highly desirable
  • Ability to multi-task across various streams of work
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking is favourable
  • Can utilise data in excel to report on performance and trends
  • Advanced ability to learn new information and processes
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
