Education Assistant - Mainstream

Port Kennedy Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.As an Education Assistant, you will support our teachers in delivering planned education programs and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will be responsible for assisting teachers in delivering planned education programs, including the operation of computers and implementing individual or small group programs or demonstrations. You will also help maintain the learning environment by keeping equipment, materials, and resources organised and ready for use in classes and activities, and by helping to keep the classroom clean and safe. This role will provide you with the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students and to develop your own skills and autonomy in a supportive environment.
