Advertised Vacancy Number IPS/SS773278 Appointment Pool Neerigen Brook Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 3, 2023.

We are seeking positive and passionate applicants who will work closely with the classroom teacher in the delivery of planned education programs, including the operation of computers; and, under teacher direction, implement individual or small group programs or demonstrations. They will assist with the preparation of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, material and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations; and assist the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. They will assist the teacher with the general care and supervision of students in out-of-class activities and on school excursions.

Suitable applicants will be expected to work in an environment committed to whole school approaches; self-reflection and continuous self-improvement; working in teams to further learning of students and staff; developing relationships with students and their parents following our Positive Behaviour Schools (PBS) framework; and high expectations for all students. In addition to this, applicants should be committed to putting students first in their decision-making and undertaking the hard work that is inherent in delivering a motivating and quality educational program.
