ABOUT THE ROLE
TAFE NSW are seeking an Education Support Officer to work within the Animal Care and Management section based at the Gosford Campus. The role is responsible for providing tutoring and classroom support to learners studying a range of animal care courses as advised by a teacher. However, the role does not include teaching or the preparation of lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessments.
In the role, you will work closely to supplement the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance the educative experience and engagement. You will also be responsible for the sections simulated practical activities including the care and welfare of animals onsite and maintaining of records.

To be successful in this role you must:
Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications, such as the Certificate III in Animal Care or equivalent and a commitment to maintain technical currency.
Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
