About the Role
Our Educational Leaders are responsible for developing a Educational Strategy for the service in line with our philosophy and pedagogy, and fulfilling the requirements of an Educational Leader as outlined in the NQF.
Our Educational Leader will be part of a company wide Educational Leaders group that meets monthly, you will also receive adequate off the floor time.
As Educational Leader you are part of the leadership team of the service and your primary responsibility is to lead the educational program. This means you:
- Collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance;
- Support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices;
- Lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service; and
- Ensure that children’s learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks.
In addition you will likely:
- Attend Educational Leader groups and based on actions identified execute those throughout your service;
- Guiding practice, including educational, health and safety, relational, and management and leadership practices;
- Regularly reviewing your key metrics and feedback, and critically reflecting with your team to improve the quality of your service’s practice;
- Engage educators in ongoing professional development;
- Developing and retaining an Extraordinary team through professional development (both formal and informal); and
- Contribute to the services self-assessment and quality improvement plan.
About You
Previous experience as an Educational Leader or experienced ECT with demonstrated abilities to support and lead pedagogy across all ages:
- Bachelor degree qualified (or equivalent and approved by ACECQA)
- Current and valid WWC, CPR, First Aid and Anaphylaxis certificates and child protection training
- Demonstrated knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and NQF
- Demonstrated experience in Inspire and lead other educators in child lead interactions and activities
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the educational program of a service
