About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Educator (Children’s Services Employee’s) to join our growing team at St Joseph's Outside School Hours Care in Bardon.
At St Joseph's Outside School Hours Care we provide before school care and after school care to up to 69 children.
Hours: Casual
Remuneration: Level 1.1 to Level 3.4 - $24.13 to $30.07, depending on qualifications and experience, as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
- Knowledge of the MTOP and NQS
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Confidence in building strong relationships with children and families
- A supportive and enthusiastic disposition
- Experience in observing and documenting learning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
