About the Opportunity:
This is a highly enticing opportunity for you to come on board to lead and manage a large team of E&I engineers, designers and supervisors to assist in supporting plant operations and the delivery of engineering projects which will allow the growth, sustainability and improvement of WesCEF’s varied businesses! This role will give you the chance to be proactive and lead the application of innovative ideas and solutions.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Manage the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of HV infrastructure and Power Management System.
- Identify team and engineering process improvement opportunities and implement appropriate changes.
- Manage and allocate resources for project execution to achieve project metrics.
- Communicate change initiatives and lead in developing knowledge and ability in support of change initiatives.
- Be involved in the development and maintenance of company Engineering Standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture within the Project Engineering team and hold direct reports accountable to agreed safety targets.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System design and installation.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment in hazardous areas (EEHA) and functional safety.
- Knowledge of HV design and maintenance
- Strong understanding of project life cycles and project management practices.
- Strong experience of cost control methods and practices.
- Previous experience in managing a project engineering team either in Brownfield or Owner Team environment.
- Be able to role model safe work behaviours and promotes this within the team.
