The Role
The Digital Science Solution Specialist is required to have software and embedded system specific knowledge, they will facilitate the integration of multiple of IT components. Possessing a good understanding of advances in cross-platform utility and other development paradigm for digital research operations.

The Digital Science Solution Specialist will provide services to:
  • Help shape the understanding of the solutions required to support client requirements
  • Use of both evolutionary and transformation techniques by integrating new technologies with exiting solutions, simplifying end to end connectivity of different and distributed application services, API, Data and Devices to maximise reuse.
  • Contribute to advance architecture framework development that will allow implementing software defined infrastructure and associated technologies for data centre, edge and hybrid cloud environments, while balancing secure technology deployment against the value to the researchers’ outcomes.
  • Industrial service-based designs integrating with the rest of DST’s infrastructure
About our Team
Digital Science Futures is responsible for establishing and maintaining Research Architecture and Design Capabilities, aligning DST Architecture with the FPR and One Defence principles, deliver FSRA Architecture stack for target architecture – using both bottom-up and top-down development approaches using TOGAF, DODAF and CAUDIT.

The directorate supports and monitors development of Agile Research Environment for implementation to deliver science focused Research Services, assessing technology trends and maintain target architecture currency as technology evolves, developing roadmaps comprised of projects showing an outline of how to deliver the target architecture.
