As an EL 1 Project Manager in Land Domain, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability. You will take a leading role in the delivery and management of complex, large-scale projects within the Land Domain.
These roles are diverse, require flexibility and typically undertake a wide variety of work. Your responsibilities will require you to apply your project management expertise throughout the project life cycle, from conception through to introduction into service. Your role will be fundamental in the delivery of important Defence projects as you provide submissions to Government, executive briefings, financial management and regular reporting on project status.
Critical to your role will be the establishment and management of effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships to meet project milestones and deliver agreed outcomes. You will be adept at managing complexity, effectively apply analytical skills to a variety of information and data, scope opportunities, risks and issues, utilise your problem-solving skills while coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, time frames and accountability.

Building Defence Capability Payment:
This position will be subject to a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) from 13 April 2023.
The remuneration for this position will be $119,014 to $134,248 (plus superannuation).
This includes a substantive salary of $108,195 - $122,044 and a BDCP premium of 10%.
BDCPs apply, subject to the following:
- Meeting eligibility criteria and maintaining effective performance.
- BDCPs are subject to regular reviews and may be ceased or varied at any time in accordance with Defence Policy.
- BDCPs may cease should you change to a position that no longer attracts a BDCP.
- Should the BDCP be ceased you will be advised and your salary will revert to the substantive salary.
