This Brisbane based Federal Government department are seeking an experienced Partnerships Manager to join their team. This is a 3 month assignment initially with view to extension.

The EL1 Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing adoption plans and contracts with external partners, managing key strategic relationships with stakeholder groups. This position manages the relationships with commercial organisations in the pathology and diagnostic imaging sector and is required to perform under broad direction while managing complex stakeholder engagement and partnership management functions.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide expertise across a broad range of activities relating to the work of different program areas for your stakeholder group.
Provide expert advice on complex problem solving and issues management for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage a number of employees performing diverse tasks or manage a larger team where skill sets are similar and tasks are related.
Ensure quality outputs including that your employees maintain a high level of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise
Undertake work activities with an awareness of their possible impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for the agency/program.
Promote the agency’s business objectives through key strategic relationships with range of stakeholders.

About you:
Relevant Qualifications and/or Tertiary Degree
In-depth understanding of the Australian Health Care sector, particularly regarding pathology and diagnostic imaging vendors
Experience undertaking highly complex analysis and interpretation; applying significant judgement in choosing a course of action to manage highly complex and sensitive issues; mapping significant industry impacts based on the Agency’s pipeline of activities, enabling the pathology and diagnostic community to be prepared for upcoming changes and requirements.
Ability to engage and manage stakeholders through change, resolving conflict and managing sensitivities through effective communication with pathology and diagnostic imaging industry partners across all organisational levels (developer/technical, operational, management and c-suite)
Sound understanding of business principles, contract management and budget management
