The Opportunity
As the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation, you will play a key role within an energetic and dynamic team where you will coordinate and facilitate the rehabilitation of injured or ill employees, ensuring their safe and sustainable return to work.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Director of the Performance and Wellbeing Team you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Leading and managing the Rehabilitation Case Management team to deliver outstanding services and achieve optimal outcomes for the department
- Ensuring compliance of the department’s Rehabilitation Management System (RMS) with relevant regulatory frameworks
- Collaborating closely with the leadership team across the People Branch and contributing to cross-functional reporting
- Utilising excellent communication skills and fostering productive relationships with various stakeholders, including Comcare, medical professionals, and rehabilitation providers
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of injury management procedures, processes, and strategies, ensuring high-level service delivery
- Participating in regular network forums with Comcare/ORAMS and other agencies
- Providing clear direction, coaching, training, and support to case managers
- Promoting early intervention awareness and delivering training across the department as needed
- Drafting complex correspondence, including instructions for independent medical assessments, reports, executive briefings, and other high-level written communications
As the ideal candidate, you will possess highly developed leadership and management skills, showcasing the capability to effectively lead teams, manage projects and resources, as well as prioritise and delegate tasks to achieve set objectives.

Salary / Rate
$120k - $133k + 15.4% Super
