Our Client
Our client is highly respected organisation, who provides services and supports to thousands of individuals around Australia. With multiple locations around Canberra, this vital Government organisation seeks only the most skilled and professional individuals to assist them in developing programs, policies, and initiatives that will improve the quality of life for Australia’s most vulnerable.
The Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Actuary to join their Analytics, Data and Actuarial Division. The successful candidate will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team.
Key responsibilities include:
Applying actuarial and insurance-based techniques to the projection of Scheme costs.
Satisfying ad hoc requests for modelling and potential interpretations of the legislation.
Developing and updating the actuarial valuation model and associated monitoring and management reports.
Evaluating and analysing policy decisions.
Providing statistical and actuarial advice to senior management and stakeholders.
Performing reporting, analysis and data management activities as required.
Role Requirements
Relevant qualifications – including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, an Associate qualification with significant progress towards Fellowship qualifications
10-15 years of experience in relevant roles/fields
Must be an Australian Citizen
