As the successful candidate, you will:  

-be involved in preparing discipline design, studies, calculations and documentation to support feasibility studies
-carry out detailed engineering for supply and construction
-provide input into capital estimates and project schedules
-provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams
-participate in formal engineering review processes
-provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support.
 

You will bring to the role:  

-A degree in electrical engineering 
-Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
-Demonstrated engineering experience in the mining and metals, energy or infrastructure sectors (or similar heavy industries) 
-Preparation of project specifications, design reports and other technical documentation as required
-Experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
-Have experience in performing electrical studies (e.g. load flow, arc fault, protection grading) including the use of power system modelling packages (i.e. SKM PTW, ETAP and PowerCAD); experience in field instrumentation and industrial control systems would also be advantageous.
-Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
