SalaryWagstaff Cranbourne are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineering Technician to join their team in East Cranbourne Vic 3977.The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:- The ability to read electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams and specifications to determine compliance with regulations and safety standards
- Use electrical test equipment/instrument to diagnose faults
- Repair and replace faulty wirings and defective parts
- Preparation of drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry
- Measuring reference points and installing cables, wirings, switchboards and main earthing systems
- Selecting, cutting, and connecting wires and cables
- Preparation of estimates of material costs and quantities
- Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying and repairing electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements
- Maintenance of installed systems
- Undertaking workshop duties such as assembling protection relays, metering and indicating devices
- Collecting data and preparing complex calculations to create charts and graphs
- Knowledge of 240 volt and 12 volts electricalSkills and Abilities:- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
- Ideally have a minimum of 4 years' experience as a qualified Electrician
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Licensing required
- White card and driver license preferredSalary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
