About the role:
We have a permanent opportunity for an Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/or Linesperson to join our team based at Townsville.
As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:
Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
Operate within Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) requirements for quality, safety, and risk assessment compliance.
As a Linesperson, you will:
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation.
Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
Remuneration starts from $89k + Superannuation for a Linesperson and from $93k + Superannuation for an Electrical Fitter Mechanic.

About you:
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system,
Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills that allow you to get on well with team members and to understand customer needs
Availability for call out and emergency work.
Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
