With opportunities at Yancoal’s Mount Thorley Warkworth mines, we are currently seeking candidates interested in a career within the mining industry for an Electrical, Plant Mechanic and fitter Apprenticeship. Mt Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is a large open pit coal operation located in the NSW Hunter Valley region approximately 10km south west of Singleton. Our people and culture are remarkably strong, driving accountability and excellent results. With a world class fleet of mining equipment and a diverse range of trucks, excavators, draglines, shovels, water carts, graders, dozers & drills there is never a dull moment!

Inherent requirements of employment
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Must hold a current driver’s licence or have plans to obtain a driver’s licence within the first 12 months
- Electrical applications must have completed HSC
- Candidates must live within a one hour drive of Yancoal’s Mount Thorley Warkworth mine sites
- All shortlisted candidates will need to undertake and successfully pass a pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol. (electrical candidates must also pass colour-blind testing)
- Recent school leavers must upload last two school reports
