The role of an Electrical Revit Modeller is integral to the VIC Electrical team. This role will facilitate, lead and coordinate the process of generating digital models and integrated data from the design stage to the construction stage.
This will include responsibilities such as managing the BIM workflow and ensuring that any potential issues during modelling, clash detection and data conversion are dealt with efficiently.
The Electrical Revit Modeler will be the go-to person for setting up project-specific modelling and is responsible for linking information across disciplines, keeping track of changes and ensuring ongoing and continuous coordination with project stakeholders.
- Setting up the company's electrical model in line with project-specific guidelines.
- Managing and keeping the electrical model up to date and correct in accordance with the
- BIM Execution plan
- BIM Coordination and electrical BIM lead
- Managing drawing registers and submitting drawings to clients
- Manage workload and resourcing with the BIM Manager for the project over the project

- Liaise with the project and engineering team to update, and modify the model as required to meet project requirements.
- Produce and develop 3D documentation in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for electrical projects
- Clash detection and coordinate with other services using Navisworks
- Edit models based on Engineers' recommendations
- Ensure work is delivered to a high standard and within required time frames
- Proficient in using BIM tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team
- Manage and maintain project content (such as family setups) and source any additional content as required
- Understand and ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
- Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set-up
- Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support
- Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines
- Daily model management administration and maintenance
- Manage and coordinate sensitive and confidential information

- Experience in a similar position on large projects
- Experience in delivering project documentation to LOD400 or higher
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Revit BIM Modeller
- MEP Services experience, particularly in Electrical (or architectural and structural) with
- senior experience in tray work
- Extensive experience with BIM software in a building engineering environment
- Experience in delivering MEP BIM Projects in Australia
- Previous Project BIM Clash Detection and Coordination/Project Information
