The Davyhurst Gold project is located 120km north west of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. The project area holds significant regional exploration potential in a “District Scale” land, holding comprised of over 200 tenements, covering an area of 1,350km2 which contains more than 200 strike kilometres of highly prospective greenstone belt.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the OBM team at the Davyhurst Gold Project, on a family friendly 8:6 roster.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising electrical and maintenance performance for the processing plant and site infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety in accordance with Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations and standards.
- Appointment as Electrical Supervisor and In-house Electrical Nominee
- Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to a high level of availability
- Plan and performance maintenance activities within maintenance cost targets
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules, including shutdowns to achieve maximum plant reliability
- Oversee the electrical maintenance schedule and record of electrical maintenance activities
- Supervision of maintenance personnel in the performance of their duties
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- WA Electrical Workers Licence – A Grade
- High Voltage Switching Certificate
- Industry certificates, including; High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH and Confined Spaces desirable;
- Current “C” Class Drivers Licence
- Good working knowledge of relevant electrical legislation and standards
- Qualified to be appointed as an Electrical Supervisor, and Electrical Nominee under the relevant legislation
- Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems;
- A proven history in supervising/performing high standards of maintenance
- Experience in the supervision of electrical maintenance for a gold processing plant desirable
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Dual Electrical Trades and Instrument Technician qualified
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (Frontline Management)

- Candidates must be domiciled and eligible to work in Australia (without requiring sponsorship) to be considered for employment by Ora Banda Mining
- Candidates must be able to provide a recent National Police Clearance check.
