Service and Maintenance Electrician

World Electrical is seeking an experienced A-Grade Electrician to join the team.

About the business

We operate primarily in the commercial service and installation environment, attending to improvements, repairs, and faults within the metro area.

Other works include new installations and fit outs, data and CCTV works.

Essential Licences/Clearance

• A Grade Electrical License
• Open cabling registration
• Current Police clearance
• Full and Valid  “C” Class manual drivers license

• Basic fault finding ability
• Basic controls knowledge and application of in-field control wiring

• CBUS experience
• KNX experience
• Security and CCTV installer license
• Split system license
• Working at Heights

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in electrical maintenance and installation.
• Some previous experience in project management  
• Some experience in job management software
• A sound understanding of fault finding and basic problem solving.
• Proven ability to provide solutions to customer’s requirements

Tasks include:

General electrical installation work and maintenance

• General installation of Power, Lighting, Equipment to AS3000:2018
• Scheduled Testing (RCD Testing, Thermal imaging, Test and Tagging, Emergency light testing)

Data / CCTV Security installation and testing

• General installation of data cabling to a high standard
• Cabling for CCTV and Security if suitably qualified.

Job Management, Time and Materials

• Use SimPro app for all job management, including start and finish times.
• Ordering of required stock from approved suppliers through purchase order system.

Client Liaison and company representation

• Representative of World Electrical to client base.
• Ability to value add to onsite works, or offer alternatives to create a solution for the client.

Training and Mentoring apprentices

• Site instruction of apprentices
• Guidance on safe work practices
• Working as mentor to guide growth in learning and potential
