Embedded Systems Test Engineer - Permanent

Our Client, an Automotive R&D organisation, is looking for a Software Testing Engineer to contribute to the design and development of their products. This role is responsible for the development and testing of specific software modules and to develop and maintain the Client's production test platform for new and current products.

This is a permanent role based in Adelaide, SA and salary will be based on skills, experience and suitability to the role.

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have the reqisite skills and experience as detailed below,
• Have at least Permanent Residancy working rights for Australia; and
• At least 2 year's relevant local working experience.

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

Essential -

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years' experience in software test engineering.
• Good Python / C / C++ proficiency.
• Preparedness to learn and undertake QA tasks as required.
• Test script preparation in Python.
• Continuous integration system management (eg Jenkins).
• Define and execute test cases and provide status to Tech Leads and Managers.
• Change management and release planning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable -

• 2+ years professional experience in embedded software test engineering.
• Knowledge of applications, network layer and medium access control protocols.
• 802.11 or other MAC development experience.
• An appreciation of typical RF architecture, propagation and impairments.
• Prior experience with QA process development, requirements management, SW release processes.
• System administration and scripting skills.
