About the Far West LHD
The Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW. Our vision is to create excellence in rural and remote healthcare.

About Broken Hill
A true “Oasis in the Outback”, Broken Hill is a thriving regional town in far west NSW full of diversity, history and character. How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible
- A primary medical degree, general and specialist registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine
- Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Sound clinical knowledge in Emergency Medicine demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty.
- Evidence of being a skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with patients, students, other health professionals and the public.
- Evidence of being a collaborator, including the ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in a variety of settings.
- Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring /audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements for the position.
- Commitment to Rural/Remote Medical Practice.
